At TLC we are learning about different careers in Agriculture, we learnt about some of the qualifications you need to have a career in Agriculture. Each student got a career to focus on and do some research on it, for example we researched and completed tasks around the following professions.

Food Inspector
Meat Scientist
Livestock Veterinarian
Public Relations/Media
Women in Agriculture
Drovers
Agricultral engineers
Auctioneer
Steven looked at what it meant to be a Beef Producer. He found that:
There are no set qualifications to become a beef producer. You will need farming experience, gained by working as a dairy or arable unit manager.
To be a beef producer you will need basic skills including patience, hard working attitude and common sense.
An auctioneer is someone who assists in the selling of cattle. They speak very quickly.
You need to know about the beef industry and could complete study in agricultural education, anatomy, animal science, business etc.

Catriona became absorbed in Agricultural Engineering. She found that:
To become a Agricultural Engineer you needed a Bachelor level qualification in Agricultural Engineering.
Agricultural engineering deals with the design of farm technology / machinery.
Agricultural engineers assist in improving the way we farm.
Aaliyah examined the important role Chefs have in transforming the farming produce into delicious meals on our plate. She discovered that:
To be a chef you need a diploma level qualificaion.
You need fast hands and leadership skills.
She also conducted a survey around the class of everyone's favourite beef dishes. This is what her classmates said:
